I love unsung heroes and that means someone very much likeRichard Hannon who on Saturday night in a small claiming race at Wolverhamptonset a new record of flat winners trained in the UK in a year and guess what? Hedidnt even know hed done it!

I didnt know anything about it until I read it in thepaper the following morning said Hannon after Guava had given him his 217^thwinner of the year!

It takes him past the record of 216 set by Mark Johnston 2years ago and Hannon who incidentally is Britains most winning flat trainerwith over 3,500 winners is already looking forward to next year!

Harbour Watch who was one of our top 2 year olds missed theDewhurst because of injury but hes back with us now and he looks grand.Obviously with a screw in his hind leg Im not going to rush him but the 2,000Guineas at Newmarket is definitely on the agenda.

Hannon has had 20 Group winners this year and that couldhave been 21 if Dubawi Gold hadnt run into a rival called Frankel in thisyears 2,000 guineas!

Dubawi Gold ran a cracker from a bad draw in Hong Kong onSunday eventually finishing 4^th in the Cathay Pacific Honk KongMile. Hes only three and thats a huge run from him from that draw and itsnow opened up running in the Dubai Carnival said stable jockey Richard Hugheswho incidentally is Hannons son in law!

Its not easy to win one race at Cheltenham never mind threebut Henderson has now sent out 67 winners this National Hunt Season and thatsexactly the same as Paul Nichols.

It looks as if the race to become this seasons ChampionTrainer is going to go all the way to the wire!

Quantatitativeeasing is certainly a word that applies to aparticular racehorse called The Tatling who retired at Wolverhampton this week just3 weeks short of his 15^th birthday.

For when trainer Milton Bradley claimed him back in 2002 forjust 15,000 he has since won over 686,000 in prize money!

Hes also given anawful lot of pleasure to an awful lot of people winning 17 of his 176 races andwas runner up an amazing three times in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York.
